SOBs meet SFR (Senior Famous Runner)

A few of us had the pleasure of crossing paths with Bill Rodgers today at the small bagel cafe on Guadalupe after the ride. Bill is in town for a running event and was getting a snack after his morning group run:

We told him about the SOBs and Bill was very impressed with our club and the distances we ride. Bill is now 78 and his advice was “keep at it.”

 

This was truly an honor for us all to meet and talk with the most famous runner in the US, if not the world.
