SOB Info Notes for May 28, 2016

Those riders that do the Tuesday rides have decided to modify the start time. Starting on this Tuesday’s ride the starting time will be standardized for each month. Bob Bogart will post the starting time for each month.
For Thursday’s ride on June 2nd there will two division. Division 1 (A and B+ rides) will start in Sapello at 9:15 and division 2 (B, B-, C rides) will start in Eldorado’s Agora Center at 9:00.
There will be a carpool meeting at the Agora Center and leaving at 8:00. It takes about an hour and fifteen minutes to Sapello, the ride is about three hours, lunch, and the drive back pretty much makes this a day ride. This is one of our nicest rides and is well worth attending. In the past we have eaten lunch in Mora but this year the ride will only regroup in Mora and have lunch in Las Vegas.
The Texas 4000 is stopping in Santa Fe on Saturday, June 11. Last year the SOBs joined with University of Texas alumni hosts to welcome the Texas 4000 group of about 35 riders from University of Texas as they rode through Santa Fe on their way to Anchorage, Alaska last June. Last year was the first time for one of the groups to ride through Santa Fe, and we think the event with Texas alumni at the Las Campanas Country Club made them think a return would be a good idea. From Santa Fe, the students ride to Durango and then make their way west to San Francisco and up the coast.
Be sure and pick up the 2016 SOB Membership List which includes phone numbers and e-mail addresses at the sign-in table on Thursday’s Ride.
The latest Membership count is: 46 new members, 113 renewals, 7 life members, and 6 sponsors for a total of 172.
