If any ride leader wants to organize an ad hoc (i.e., not a Thursday) SOB ride during the riding season (April-October) on a different day, place, or time than is posted on the SOB website, please post it on the blog as soon as it is organized and then again two days before the ride. (And it might not hurt to post more than once or twice, as well as notify your email lists.)
If anyone else wants to organize a ride, or if it’s not organized by a ride leader and posted as above, nothing prevents you from doing that, but it won’t be an SOB ride.
The reason for these protocols is that our insurer requires SOB rides that they insure to be “conducted and supervised” by the club.
The ride director and assistants have decided that Thursday rides should not be changed in the manner described above.
