The Memory Ride is on Aug. 18th starting at 9:00 am from the Pecos Ranger Station. On this ride the club honors it’s departed members by riding the first 10 miles in silence to the Pecos River bridge where there will be a short ceremony lead by Bill Pollock. We will be honoring: Lee Hilley, Barbara Nueva, Mark Bolsterli, Alice Regan, Herb Schon, Charlie Loesch, Clare Rhoades, and Ken Vieira who was killed while leading the SOB ride in Tucson, AZ.
On Saturdays there are two rides. Bob Bogart has a group riding from the El Camino Academy at 8:30 and for Bill Pollock’s ride contact him at: pollockb@aol.com
The attendance for the Tuesday rides that meet at DeVargas Center behind Office Depot is in the 20 range. There are two groups which are; the hard core riders and the relaxed take it easy group. The routes are decided by the riders, the start time for August is 8:30am.
Just a reminder, on September 1st Tom Andrews has agreed to take the official SOB photo. Everyone in the picture should be wearing the club jersey.
The current membership is: renewals 117, new members 68, life members 8, and sponsors 6 for a total membership of 199.
