SOB Info Notes for April 13, 2016
The SOB Board has two new members; Lore Thorpe and Pam Reynolds. Lore will be the Social Director and Pam will be the new Vice President and taking care of the Pactimo account which includes the jersey order. A very special thanks for their support and their contributions to running a successful cycling club.
Kudos to Lynn Pickard for her participation at the Memorial Ride for Clare Rhoades and the preparation of the proclamation presented by Santa Fe Mayor, Javier Gonzales. Bob Bogart did an excellent job of organizing this community event with all the frustrations that go with dealing with the bureaucratic offices. A very special thanks to all the SOBs that participated in leading the various group rides.
The 2016 membership drive is in full swing with 87 current members. At the Thursday rides for the rest of April there will be three stations: Ride Sign-in, Membership Renewals, and New & Pending Memberships. If you are one of the 87 already carring your 2016 membership card you will go directly to the ride sign-in which Lynn will be manning. If you are one of the 100+ that need to renew, pay dues ($20.00), and pick up your membership card go to Station A. Finally there are a few that need to initial their ride waivers or complete their application who will go to station B.
I want to take a moment to remember Clare Rhoades who lost her life in Tucson. She was an important member of the SOB family and will be greatly missed. I have pledge (to myself) to wear the “Support & Remember” wristband until Judy Costlow, recovering in rehab in Tucson, returns to Santa Fe and is riding with the SOBs. Please join me if you are so inclined.
