Hi Bike Santa Fe folks,

Sometime over the weekend, my bike was stolen along with my bike trailer. They had been locked outside the building where I have my office (at The Lofts near Cerrillos Road). Someone cut the locks off with a bolt cutter.

The bike and trailer were both old and not especially valuable. However, they both had great sentimental value, partly because I have had them for so long, and partly because I have made so many custom modifications. It is surprising that they were stolen because they have so many modifications that they should be easy to spot, and hard to sell.

The most notable thing about both bike and trailer are the many small sparkly stickers on the bike, and the many bumper stickers on the trailer. Also, the bike had front and rear fenders, front and rear racks, and a tool box in front (not shown in photos). Also, it had two kickstands and an unusual double seat (see photo).

I have posted more photos on my Facebook page. Feel free to share my story and photos widely. I am offering a $500 reward for the return of the bike and trailer in good condition ($250 each). No questions asked.

Thanks for your help,

Dan R. Frazier

P.S. When I moved to Santa Fe a year and a half ago, one of the first things that happened was that my wife (ex-wife now) had her bike seat stolen. I am getting the impression that Santa Fe really is more of bike town than I realized, but not quite in the way I was hoping.
